  • Organisation management with unique permissions for owners, hosts, tournament directors, and members
  • Profile management — players can create accounts with which they can register for tournaments and track progress
  • Tournament pairings — built-in official chess pairing systems: Swiss / Swiss (Accelerated) / Round Robin / Double Round Robin 
  • Internal rating calculation — automatic rating calculation after every tournament using the Glicko-2 rating system
  • Real-time results — live standings and round-by-round results
  • Multi-venue support — Organisations can manage multiple tournament locations
  • Integrated payment system — easily collect entry fees and manage other revenue streams using Stripe 
  • Photo Galleries — Upload and share photos from your events
  • Full FIDE compliance — TRF file export, pairing compliance, player data fields, arbiter information, rating calculation and application methods for FIDE tournaments

There are three main roles on Bar Blitz, each unlocking different capabilities:

Players

  • Manage profile

Tournament directors

  • Export TRF files

Organisations

  • Create tournaments
  • Add venues 
  • Assign hosts
  • Access analytics and reporting

Creating a player account

You can sign up with an e-mail address and a password or with Google Sign-in.

Signing up with e-mail address

  1. Click on the "Join Bar Blitz" in the top left corner
  2. Fill in your first name, last name, username, e-mail address and password 
  3. Confirm your password 
  4. Agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy 
  5. Click on "Create account"
  6. After confirming your account via e-mail, your account is ready to use

Signing up with Google Sign-in

  1. Click on the "Join Bar Blitz" in the top left corner
  2. Click on the "Continue with Google" button
  3. Select the Google account you want to log in with
  4. Authorise Bar Blitz
  5. Your account is ready to use
